The airfield is home to the Jury Hill Gliding Club & Gliding Wairarapa, who run gliding flights from their two air strips in the area - it is one of the most heavily used private airfields in the country, and operates on weekends and public holidays. So keep a lookout for aircraft soaring in the thermals above and if they are operating we suggest you come back another day.
The cache can be reached from the end of Pah Road where you turn left onto a vehicle access track. Please leave all gates as you find them. There is no need to go past the 2nd gate, but if you do be aware that you are actually on the airfield so definitely not advisable if they are gliding! There is angling access to the river if you wish.
The cache is a 200ml Sistema and contains a log book only so please bring something to write with. We have recycled this cache from "Gliding On" and "Gliding On II", both of which we have archived, so don't be surprised to see other logs there if you are the FTF on this one. Please replace cache carefully.
