Geocache Description:

At the GZ preventative measures have been taken out to avoid erosion as well as to lift and build upp the surrounding area . This area where they have used rock primarily to help prevent the erosion is known for flooding during a heavy season of rainfall and floods, The last floods in the area have been a number of years ago i think the last recorded flood was in 2002 but there have been far worse i am told by the local elders.

Rock as well as other materials are used to help prevent erosion , other such materials used can be sand bags, concrete and wood barriers which are all back filled using sand to raise the area inland and raise the river edge as to stop the banks from flooding . Planting grass and trees to hold the soil in place is also an acceptable method but takes a number of years to be successful and is a "hit n miss" method .

The Gz of the cache is now being protected from two sides as there is a small stream that runs diagonally to the main river when it rains,.
