'Walking the dog - Husky' Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

sheshe83: Unfortunately I haven't had as much time of late to dedicate to geocaching and more importantly cache maintenance, so I feel it is unfair to seekers and archiving this cache allows another cacher to hide in this area.

Geocache Description:

This is another of my 'Walking the dog' caches which I placed in some of my regular dog walking routes and provide information about different breeds of dogs. This cache is placed in a lovely little park known as "The orchard" and it can be quite high in muggles at times as it is used as a bit of a cut through to the sports centre etc. Please be aware that this cache is placed very close to a residential area so please be careful. Thank you!

Huskies are beautiful and powerful dogs which have been bred for many years for use as sled dogs. Originally bred by Artic indigenous tribes, the fastest and strongest dogs would be bred to produce the most efficient sled dog possible. The breed has now had various types registered with the Kennel club including the Siberian Husky, the Alaskan Husky, the Mackenzie River Husky and the Sakhalin Husky. These impressive, athletic and energetic dogs often have pale eyes, usually blue and in many cases heterochromic. They grow dense double coats to allow them to withstand low temperatures and they can be a variety of colours from black through gray, to coppery-red or even white yet they always have the lighter tummy and underneath. Huskies are more prone to an eye problem known as Uveitis that most other breeds. Huskies are usually a fairly large breed of dog that lives quite happily in households with more than one dog, and although they can make fantastic family pets they can sometimes show an intolerance to smaller children and cats!
