How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Perhaps the first of a series of such meets that will help geocachers interested in finding the more unusual geocaches.

Geocaching is many things to different people. Finding different types of geocaching is all part of the game, such as Traditionals, Multi-caches, Virtuals, Unknowns, etc.

Find out about all those different icon types on your statistics page, such as Lab Caches, Wherigo, Letterbox Hybred, Virtuals, etc. No question is too stupid.

The date is set (see below). It doesn't matter if you are a seasoned cacher or have not heard of any of the icon types before, all are welcome. Come along and chat to other cachers, swap stories, or just simply learn about the various types of caches. All we need is YOU.

Date: Sunday 21st February 2016

Time: 10:30am (it is a Sunday after all) to 11:30am

For those of you who want to find the Roedean Road YOSM, after the event, I have attached a diagram of where the surface block can be found.

About the area

The location is on top of the cliffs overlooking Brighton Marine. Great views can be seen, with views towards Worthing and the Isle of Wight, which can be seen on a clear day. If the weather is more blustery, the waves crash into the Marina walls.

The meet place is near a busy main road (which is between the coordinates and the cliffs) so young ones and dogs should be looked after.

Roedean Cafe is a few hundred yards to the west. Which is where I will be, after the meeting has finished, for breakfast.
