When Mrs. Cash gave birth to a baby boy, she named him after her favorite author, George Orwell. He never liked his name and thought it sounded too formal. When asked his name he said, "Just call me G.O."
Like a lot of us, George lived a desperate, frantic life. It seemed that the harder he worked, the farther he got behind. Life was like running on a treadmill with the speed turned up faster than he could run. Sometimes he felt he was inside a giant exercise wheel. He was a member of the Rat Race.
George toiled late into his twilight years. He never took long vacations and felt he never had enough money ahead to retire. Now he is in a better place. He is in a quiet resting spot, surrounded by grass and trees and flowers. Birds and squirrels play all around him and the deer travel close by at night.
Rest in Peace G.O. Cash!
