Geocache Description:

A site paying respect to Detective Inspector Walsh and Detective Sergeant Pitman who lost their lives in the line of Duty during the early days of the goldrush


Situated at Millers Find, around 10km southwest of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, the memorial marks the location where the bodies of Gold Stealing Detection Unit officers John Walsh and Alexander Pitman were found in a mine shaft in April 1926. The memorial site, tells the story of gold theft and murder, part of the history of the early goldfields. ************************************************ . . This cache is located a short distance from the main highway, along a well maintained gravel road. It is a black ammo tin, which is well stocked with loot for the Geokids. .
