Un blocco di porfido, sconosciuto ai più giovani e non solo, a ricordo di un periodo di carestia passato dagli abitanti di Carano. Un’iscrizione che passa inosservata ma che è giusto ricordare per coloro che, all’epoca hanno sofferto la fame e per tutti quelli che ancora oggi soffrono in altre parti del pianeta.
La pietra, probabilmente una copia dell’originale rimossa nel 1888, porta la seguente iscrizione:

Nello stesso 1570 la Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme fondò un’istituzione benefica detta “Fondaco” dedicata ad aiutare la povera gente che moriva di fame. Secondo alcuni studiosi furono molti coloro che, non riuscendo a procurarsi cibo dall’estero, finirono nelle mani di contadini avidi che esigevano somme esorbitanti per modeste quantità di grano.
LA CACHE
Per trovare la cache dovete arrivare alle coordinate dove potete vedere in sicurezza stando sul marciapiede il blocco di porfido.

A block of porphyry, unknown to most young people and not only in memory of a time of famine the past by the inhabitants of Carano. An inscription that goes unnoticed but it is fair to say to those who, at the time have been hungry and all those who still suffer in other parts of the planet.

In the same 1570 the Magnificent Community of Fiemme founded a charity called "Fondaco" dedicated to helping the poor people dying of hunger. According to some scholars, there was a lot of people who, unable to procure food from abroad, fell into the hands of greedy peasants who demanded exorbitant sums for small amounts of wheat.
THE CACHE
To find the cache you have to get to the coordinates where you may see the porphyry block standing on the sidewalk.
