This cache is located on SH30 near the entrance to the Rotorua Landfill. The landfill is a specially designed facility for the burial of municipal solid waste. Municipal solid waste landfills are filled with everything we throw away, from glass and plastic bottles, to grass clippings and other yard wastes. Roughly 70% of Rotorua's refuse is sent to this landfill, with only 30% remaining which is recycled.
Note: This cache is located along a busy state highway so caution is advised. There is safe parking available at the cache location. You are looking for a small 500 ml container hidden along the fence line. Please return the cache as found to prevent any possible water damage.
