The very first cache I ever found was GC43NG5 - Lost My Balls. It was back on 02/23/13 and the weather was wet. My first log was "Thanks. Just started and it is the first one I found." I wish I had done better, but I was just a n00b. The cache was archived on 03/31/15 after no replacement for the missing container and seems that owner is no longer playing. Some time has passed and so now I present my cache to replace it. I changed it up a bit, so it is not an exact copy of that cache.
The park is open from sunrise to sunset. During the summer, the park requires proof of residency on the weekends. If you are not from Nassau County, you will have to pay a fee, but there is a way around it. I believe they don't check if you walk in. So I suggest you park nearby, there are plenty of houses to park in front of, and walk.
