Geocache Description:

This is one in a series of caches hidden around the KY Horse Park, they are named after breeds that live at the KHP year round. Please keep in mind that you WILL NOT need to enter a field, paddock or other horse enclosure to find a cache. So stay safe and stay out!

There is a parking fee ($5) if you park in the main lot. You can avoid the admission to the park simply by walking around and not entering through the Visitor center OR coming after 5pm. If you wish to avoid the parking fee enter the grounds by parking at the KHP Campground and walk in.

The Marwari is an extremely rare breed of horse in which several live at the Park and participate in the Breed's show. This breed originated in the Jodhpur region of India. They were first bred in the 12th century and used throughout history as calvary mounts. Exportation was banned  due to their low numbers in their native country but between 2000-2006 a limited number were allowed to leave. All colors are accepted with the pinto coloring being the most popular. This breeds most differenting characteristic is that it's ear tips cross at the top when faced forward.
