The Church
The village of Merrymeet in Cornwall was established during the tin mining era and saw a large number of miners building homes in the community. These miners also required a place of worship and those with a Catholic faith at first used the school hall on Sundays until St Mary’s Church was built in the village in 1842.

St Mary's is the Mission Church or Chapel of Ease of St Lalluwy's Menheniot, the local Parish Church.
In design St Mary’s is quite a simple church and is totally in keeping with its village location at Merrymeet.
