It’s the one day every 1461 days when you are able to get a smilie for the most difficult day of your caching calendar – 29th February! Why risk a DNF on a night-time torch lit hunt, where it could be cold, windy and wet, when the alternative is having a great evening with fellow cachers in a pub.
If the term “caching calendar” doesn't mean much to you, then have a look at the statistics page of your geocaching profile to see on how many days you haven’t found a cache. Then consider it will be another 4 years before you have the next chance to complete this square!
If you log a cache or an "attend" at an event on Feb 29th, Groundspeak have announced that you will earn a special souvenir on your profile page.
The pub is family friendly and serves food.
Time: 6 pm. - 9 pm.
Venue: The Boathouse Pub, Thorpe Meadows, Peterborough. Cambridgeshire. PE3 6GA
All welcome and we look forward to seeing you, cachers old (you know who you are!) and new.
