This cache is located in a relatively unknown but very beautiful area. It has recently been added as a trail system and travels through some very unique terrain and geological formations. It has some great views (when no foliage)
as it is one of the highest points in Montgomery County, PA.
PS LEAVES AND ROCKS CAN BE SLIPPERY WHEN WET !!! USE CAUTION.
The cache is well hidden. Not buried, but well hidden. It is a clear rubbermaid container [inside a black trash bag (7/13/02)] with some better than usual treasures. Something for everyone. Depending from which trailhead you access the trail the terrain can have some rocky hills. It definitely is NOT a 10 minute hike - with a 4 year old, it can take a 1/2 hour to reach the general area (approximately 1/2 mile). If you have time, hike to the other end to see the old house foundation and the still existing root cellar. The GPS we used (borrowed) indicated that the elevation of the cache was at 608 FT. Good Luck !
PS Watch out for the poison ivy - you dont have to go through it to get to the cache !
