The Royal Borough of Greenwich is a London borough in south-east London. It was formed in 1965 by merging the former areas of the metropolitan boroughs of Greenwich and most of Woolwich. To mark the Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II, on 3 February 2012 Greenwich became the fourth Royal Borough in recognition of its historic links with the Royal Family, its status as home of the Prime Meridian and as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Greenwich is bounded by the London Boroughs of Bexley to the east, Bromley to the south, Lewisham to the west and across the River Thames to the north lie Tower Hamlets, Newham and Barking and Dagenham.
The London boroughs are divided into wards for local elections. The ward is the primary unit of English electoral geography for civil parishes and borough and district councils. Wards are usually named after neighbourhoods, thoroughfares, parishes, landmarks and geographical features. In urban areas the wards within a local authority area typically each contain roughly the same number of electors, and each elect three councillors. English local authority districts, London boroughs and unitary authorities average around 23 electoral wards/divisions each. Population counts can vary substantially, but the national average is about 5,500. More populous electoral wards/divisions tend to occur in large urban areas.
The Royal Borough of Greenwich has 17 electoral wards. I have assigned them all transposed stature level points.
