Geocache Description:

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE: APRIL 16, 2016-9:00 AM -12:00 PM. You are invited to come for at least a half-hour, or stay all day! Water and clean-up supplies are free, bathrooms are, well, -natural occurrences...If there was ever a spot that needed a CITO event, this is it! This is the trailhead to the popular hiking and "alternative recreation" area known as Punte del Este-(Spanish for East Point) Trailhead..

HERE WE GO AGAIN! THE RESPONSE WAS SO POSITIVE, WE ARE DOING IT AGAIN...

p>Here there are opportunities to bike, hike, bring your dog and search for caches. I visited here a over a year ago to date, and was blown away by the beauty and scope of the area, unfortunately it was deeply marred by the gratuitous garbage, grafitti and neglect of the trails in the area. As a former teacher for the HLPUSD, I witnessed student's affirmation firsthand that this was a "party-place". I made a mental note to look into a CITO event and noticed Davedoo was active in the area, it wasn't until I was looking for coords to tie to the event that I noticed his participation already in an ongoing situation! In fact, the coords are taken from his cache at the trailhead: GC3JW6C. I am now galvanized to mount a full-blown effort and engage the city in efforts to assist folks with their trail experience... In fact, Nama'sTeam have placed over 25 new caches for you to Find in conjunction with the event which may be an annual event depending on how things go! Note: Participation in this event WILL gleen the coveted CITO Souvenir you seek, AND you will be helping a very-needed area to be attractive to future hikers, joggers and biking enthusiasts. A grab bag will be available to all participants the day of the event and I plan to raffle off some custom containers that will be pre-swagged and ready to use!
