Sunflowers have been grown in North Otago since 1974 by a local company Topflite. During mid and late summer large paddock are ablaze of bright yellow blooms and many locals and visitors come to view and take photos.
The crop is grown in a different location each year. In 2016 large fields of sunflower seeds were planted alongside Tutu Hill and Parson Roads. The cache is not at the published coordinates which are amidst 1000' s of plants. To find the cache location you will need to click on the above jigsaw puzzle above and find the coordinates.
