The story of "Bonesy's Head" as told by my elementary aged daughters.
A long time ago there was a dog named, "Bonesy". Bonesy lived with his family and a little girl named Josephina. He liked to play fetch in the woods and dig holes to hide his bones. One day while Bonesy was playing fetch, he fell into a hole! Josephina saw him fall but could not see him since the hole was so deep. Meanwhile, Bonesy kept falling down the hole until he landed in a big cave. As he looked around he suddenly heard a loud noise. Scared of what it might be, he quickly found a hiding spot behind a rock. He waited and waited until a big yellow monster with spikes came out from around the corner. The monster smelled Bonesy, snatched him up and ate him for lunch! Poor Bonesy! :-( Determined to find their dog, Josephina and her family went looking for Bonesy. When they discovered the cave, the only trace of their beloved friend was his head! Saddened by their loss, they took the head back for a proper burial. As years have passed, all that remains of Josephina's family is Bonesy's head.
Good luck finding the head and the treasure within!
