You are looking for an eclipse tin protected and held in place by some rocks.
Before reconstruction began in 1995 the old Stanmore Road Bridge was one of the few remaining timber-framed bridges in Christchurch. The historic stone was transferred from the old to the new bridge that was built in 1995. Earthquake repairs have led to some of the lighting/ lamp pillars and stonework going into storage for a while but the bridge is still all go as a major arterial route.
