If you were born on February 29, 1976 this would be your 11th birthday.
In honour of this lets have a "you're younger than you look" flash mob.
Because most of us have had a few more birthdays than that, we have places to be during a weekday daytime.
SO
At 5:54 PM (official sunset - yes one minute earlier than before) we will meet at the Picnic Pavilion at Granville Island with our flashlights for what else but a Flashlight Flash Mob.
Be it your midnight special FTF 10-million-candle-power-light-up-the-neighbourhood searchlight, or your delicate "I need a bit better peek into that hole" bring your best and favourite lights.
Bring your camera with flash.
Wear your best overcoat but any flashers need to abide by the rules of good taste and family friendly fun.
The "Plus" depends somewhat on the weather - the shelter is covered but not heated.
We will most likely be there till at least 7:00PM. There is quite a bit of "real" light for those who miss the "flash"
Bring your Trackables to dip or drop
We plan to have hot dogs, chips and maybe some rice krispy squares or cupcakes. Donations to cover costs are greatly appreciated.
Parking on the island at that time of day is generally pretty easy so shouldn't be a problem. Granville Island is also very transit friendly.
If you haven't got all the caches on the island yet, now is a good time for it.
