Geocache Description:

This is my cache nr 100, and as Marloth Park is one of my most favourite places to visit, I found it appropriate to hide this milestone cache of mine here.

The cache is not at the given co-ordinates.

To get to the cache you will have to visit Marloth Park and you will also have to do some reading and research to be able to say if the statements are true or false.


Marloth Park

Underneath are a couple of statements to which you have to say whether the statement is true or false. If the statement is true then you mark it with a 1 and if the statement is false you mark it with a 0.

- Wood fires are only allowed in summer, and in winter you have to use gas for your braai.
- The “Marloth Hippo Pools” cache is magnetic.
- Marloth Park was founded in 1977.
- Koedoe, Zebra, Giraffe and wildebeest can be seen inside Marloth Park.
- Domestic pets are allowed in Marloth Park.
- The office of the Marloth Park SA Police Service is situated in Pofadder St.
- The using of dead wood in Marloth Park is allowed as long as it is used for a braai.
- Marloth Park is about 3000 hectares.

- There is no Springbok Street in Marloth Park.
- The nearby Highway, which connect Pretoria to Komatipoort, is the N1 Highway.
- The Crocodile River flows on the Northern, Eastern and Western sides of Marloth Park.

- You are not permitted to get out of your vehicle in Lion and Leopard streets.
- The National Road Traffic Act law does not apply to this Conservancy.
- The distance between the 2 min gates of Marloth Park, driving on Olifants st., is about 11km.
- There is a swimming pool at the shopping centre.
- Marloth Park Primary School is situated in Olifant st.
-There are no Lions in Lionspruit.
-The game in Marloth Park roams freely around the houses.
-The speed limit on tar roads in Marloth Park is 50km/h.

- You can find all of the big 5 inside Marloth Park.
- The caravan park has 50 stands available for camping.
- Feeding of animals is allowed in Marloth Park.
- Walking and bicycling is prohibited between 18:00 to 06:00.
- The “Marloth Park – Find Your Way” cache is under a roof.
- Henk Van Rooyen is the manager of the caravan park.
- Residents from Marloth Park have free access to the Kruger Park.
- You can find the Aloe Marlothii plant here.

- Lionspruit is the nearest Golf Course to Marloth Park.
- The Pigmy (Dwerg-) and Woodland Kingfisher (Bosveldvisvanger) can be found near dams and rivers.
- Marloth Park is managed by Nkomazi Municipality.
- You can see the big 5 from Seekoei Street.
- Setting up of snares on your own property is allowed as it helps to keep the number of animals under control.
- The nearest town from Marloth Park is Hectorspruit.
- Hunting inside Marloth Park is only permitted during winter time.
- At Gruispan rowing boats are allowed.
