This cache placement is near the Wadlow Gap Public River Access hand boat launch area on the North Fork of the Holston river.
It's a sketchy kind of place after dark, and there are snakes, ticks, chiggers, PI and all sorts of critters and stuff at GZ. Please put back as found to keep the groundhogs from gnawing on it.
The North Fork flows 138 miles southwest from Sharon Springs in Bland County, Virginia. The Middle Fork flows 56.5 miles from near the western border of Wythe County, Virginia, joining the South Fork in Washington County, Virginia, southeast of Abingdon.
The hand launch area here is a little rough, mostly used by kayakers and fishers. There are several parking places, and the next public river access area is 2.9 miles downstream in Weber City.
