Legendary Raven - HAG XII Traditional Cache

A traditional cache hidden as part of the 12th Annual Vancouver Island Hide and Go Cache - HAG XII.

Located near a trail on the southeastern side of Mount Work, this cache is dedicated to the Raven, the legendary trickster of the Coast Salish  people. You will often see ravens nearby, sometimes doing their amazing acrobatics and often making their unique calls. This area has a special ambiance all it's own.

Park at the Munn Road parking lot for Mount Work and head up the Summit Trail. About half way up, there is a trail branching off to the right that roughly parallels the contour of the slope and winds toward an open area with panoramic views. A little further along, as you head towards Martha's Mounds, you will find this small (pop bottle preform) cache just a few steps off the trail.

Please treat the cache carefully and leave it attached and hidden as you found it. With any luck, you will hear the ravens overhead.
