Cache is close to track at the foot of Mount Connection. The moorland prior to the cache location is quite colourful in summer especially the Baeckea and Ozothamnus. From the site onwards up the side on Mount Connection frequent small stands of Myrtle (Nothofagus cunninghamii) will be found.

It is a bushwalk to get to this cache which is along the track to Mount Connection from Big Bend. Expect to take about 1 ½ hours to walk the 4 kilometres to reach here.
Although the first half of this walk is on the rubbly Big Bend Fire Trail the second half progressively gets a more pleasant walk. The first turn off onto a track (from fire trail and signed) is a little overgrown and can remain wet at times. The second junction has had maintenance work and is now a clear and easily to follow track through the wooded area then meets a moorland of open heath which is boardwalked. It crosses the headwaters of Mountain River and contours over the moor to reach the foot of mount Connection. From there is a gentle sidle of the long summit ridge, gradually ascending to reach the high points.
Car parking spots are marked as additional waypoints. We find that C1 is the best. Track junctions are also included to help.
