Geocache Description:

A beautiful example of ‘Tasmanian History’ situated on the banks of the Macquarie River.

The area is too beautiful not to have a cache to attract fellow cachers to the site to enjoy the river views and old buildings from years gone by.

The nearby estate located near the Macquarie River is a beautiful example of Tasmanian history, with plenty of old buildings and gardens to explore.


The Macquarie river is a popular fishing spot for the keen angler

The cache is located down by the river very close to the old windmill which is accessible for public via a ‘stile’ over the fence 24/7 near the parking spot given.

Cache is a small screw top container with log book, pen and a few small swaps.

Best parking location while searching for cache is at S 41*37.662 E 147*08.882
