This is a nice easy cache (one of several) set up by the Brownies as part of their Out and About badge and Find Your Way Badge.
It is just off the footpath/bridleway that runs along the east side of the golf course and there is no need to wander onto the golf course or enter the field. From the cache site you have extensive views out to sea looking west and inland fantastic voiews of The Scafell Massif. The ideal place to start is the seafront car park.
Seascale is a lovely coastal villaged whos growth was initially due to the influx of workers at the nearby nuclear site. There is an attractive seafront that has been enhanced by the addition of several interesting features such as a pier, a small castle and a cannon. The play area is due for an extensive re-vamp in 2016. There a a couple of cafes to get refreshment after your geocache outing. Parking on the seafront car park is free or by optional donation.
