Geocache Description:

A special event to mark leap year. We are meeting at the Savoy Country Inn on the A477 near St Clears.  Monday 29th February 2016 - We will be meeting at 7.00pm for 7.30pm to eat. (Finish approx 9.00 ish )

They do a good variety of meals at reasonable prices and most are buy one get one free. Please log below if you will be attending and how many to eat. The Inn is child friendly and has plenty of parking.  We will have an area reserved - at the back of the Inn.

This Leap year, lets Celebrate with Geocaching!  It only happens every four years, which means we all have one extra day to go geocaching.

Geocaching are celebrating with a souvenir — actually, there are two!  The first souvenir can only be earned on Leap Day itself — February 29 — by attending a geocaching event. The other souvenir can be earned all weekend long (February 27-29) by getting outside and finding a geocache.

So instead of holding, my usual -  Sand , Sea, and Sunglassess event in Amroth  – at the weekend, I have decided, to hold an event on leap day -   Monday 29th February. Hope to see some of you there.   I will also have available some copies of the South Wales Quiz - Church Micro Challenge 2016 -  which is raising funds for the South Wales Annual Event. Many thanks to Preseli.

Geocaching events are  held so fellow cachers can meet up, and put a face to some of the names that you have seen on the logs. It is also a chance to show geocoins and trackables that are too precious to send out travelling, please feel free to bring them to just show off.

If you are new to geocaching and not been to an event before, don’t be put off  we are a friendly group  You can ask others any questions, that you may have, also hopefully meet some of the locals who have caches in the area. You are welcome to attend this event , even if you have not been geocaching before, and you want to find out about the hobby.  PS If you are new to our hobby, and want to find some easy geocaches, I have got a few placed nearby.  I will have a log book available to sign, and will be floating around the event and hopefully answer any queries you may have.

PS - If you don't already know me - im the one with the mop of dark curly hair!
