This is a whanau cache hidden at the gateway of the Edmondson Whanau Estate. This cache is a TB Marae for all TBs to experience Aotearoa before continuing on with their journey. This is a whanau friendly cache (family friendly) so plenty of swappable toys and space for TBs. The cache will be cared for by the Edmondson whanau to ensure that there is plenty of treasure to be found. Remember to close the container properly to preserve the treasure. The marae (meeting grounds) is the focal point of Māori communities throughout New Zealand. A marae is a fenced-in complex of carved buildings and grounds that belongs to a particular iwi (tribe), hapū (sub tribe) or whānau (family).
Although this is not a traditional Marae the concept here is that all are welcome.
