Event Details

When: 15 February 2016 Starting at 10:00 am

Where: Various locations starting at the posted coordinates.

What: An event like no other. You've experienced what the Caching Games were like, now experience an event that will test your physical and mental abilities in a race against the clock to save the universe from a vicious alien race called the Daleks. Caches will range in terrain and difficulty, but will not be greater than 3 stars. Finding the caches is not a requirement for logging the event. There will be a chance to sign the event logbook at the beginning and end of the event, but if you choose not to participate in the event portion then you will not be eligible to possibly win the FTF prize. All who plan to participate in the caching portion of the event must be present at the posted coordinates no later than 10:00 am. The event will start promptly at 10, so please arrive a few minutes earlier to ensure you are ready to receive instructions on how the event willl be run.

Additional details will be provided at the start of the event.

There will be no water or other refreshments provided at the event, so please make arrangements to bring your own refreshments.

Additionally, please follow CITO practices when participating in the event.


Additional Information

This is an event that will test your physical stamina, ability to traverse over distance and terrain, and your ability to solve field puzzles under a time constraint.

The following is a list of recommended items to bring:

  • A pen or automatic pencil

  • A small notebook/blank paper/something to write on.

  • A map of the area

  • A watch with a timer

  • A GPS receiver (not the smart phone app)

  • Some drinking water

  • Comfortable shoes (sturdy hiking shoes highly recommended)

  • A hand towel

There are parking areas near all of the locaions in this event. Please follow all traffic laws and be respectful of the areas you visit. Please be aware of your surroundings while participating.
