The Parkend - Whitecroft Round joins the two villages along forest paths and there is on road parking to be found in both villages. Steam trains may be seen on the Dean Forest Railway which is close to the eastern side of the route and there are stations in both villages. Tree cover might affect GPSr accuracy so helpful hints are provided.
THERE ARE WILD BOAR HERE IN THE FOREST SO DOG OWNERS ARE ADVISED TO KEEP THEIR DOGS ON A LEAD. See PWR IVTree log by rubyseekers 17/4/17
Take the small path to the west (by fallen tree trunk) for a short distance and think of the obvious place where you would place a cache out of reach of wild boar. The Post 14 was for orienteering but it has now been removed.
Room for TBs in this one.
