When I was younger, before I was able to drive, and long before GPS was common, I normally ended up with the map. We'd get somewhere new, and the conversaton would go something like:
Driver: Which Way?
Me: Um.... Left, or Right... yes, right.
Driver turns right
Me: Oh, no, I meant left.
And then a huge row would errupt whilst trying to find somewhere suitable to turn around.
These days I'm a much better at map reading - but that's assuming I know where I'm going. If I'm undecided, I can still stand there thinking, which way should I go.
