It takes the earth approx. 365 days and 6 hours to make its annual trip around the sun. Since we can not create a 6 hour day (It would not be long enough for geocaching.) we have to add an extra day every four years it is called a leap day.
Some fun facts from wikipedia .
- All leap years are divisible by 4.
- On the Chinese calender leap, years only occur in the years of the Monkey, Dragon, Rat.
- It is the 60th day of the Georgean calender with another 306 days remaining (this leaves 298 more days to get your christmas shopping done).
Some facts from RescuePenguin:
- This is my Mom's 18th birthday
- This means she is either a Monkey, Dragon, or a Rat ( "Monkey" because she has the fun personality of a playful monkey, growing up in her household I saw her turn into a fire breathing "Dragon", and she did "Rat" us boys out to our father)
- Event day is deadline for 2015 RRSP contributions, so please make the appointment for before or after the event.
- This is my first event.
- I'm willing to bribe you with a souvenir (The official Geocaching one) to attend.
Many events are for the evening, however some of us work in the evening, and there are some retirees who may wish to attend during the day. No i'm not going to forget those that have the day off.
Cost: attendees pay for their own lunch.
Please let me if your attending alone or with a friend or two. C u there!
