Evigno, l'ultimo paese della valle di Diano, sulle strade dell'Olio.
Evigno is the last village of the Diano valley, on the roads of the Oil.

Evigno e' un paesino caratteristico nella valle di Diano. A circa 10km dal mare e' stato fondato nel XII secolo, si divide in due borgate: Borghetta e Villa Costa. La coltivazione delle olive taggiasche e' ancora oggi fondamentale e nel paese sono presenti alcuni frantoi a conduzione famigliare presso i quali e' possibile acquistare olio prodotto localmente con tecniche antiche. Per raggiungere il paese infatti dovrete percorrere la strada dell'Olio tra i tipici terrazzamenti con gli olivi taggiaschi. Da Evigno si gode di un panorama stupendo sul golfo di Diano Marina, nei giorni limpidi di intravvede addirittura la Corsica. Dal paese e' inoltre possibile passeggiare tra le fasce degli ulivi e salire fino in cima al Pizzo d'Evigno (990 mt slm). La cache e' facile da raggiungere, e' possibile parcheggiare l'auto vicino. Siate discreti, la gente del posto e' di natura diffidente. Per favore rimettetela come l'avete trovata.

Evigno is a characteristic village of the Diano Valley. It lays 10km from the sea and was originally founded in the 12th Century, it’s divided in two districts, Borghetta and Villa Costa. Olive cultivation is still today focal and there are different oil mills run by families where it is possible to buy olive oil locally produced with ancient techniques. To reach the village you will have to drive through the so called Oil roads surrounded by the typical terraces with olive trees. From Evigno you can enjoy a full view of the Gulf of Diano Marina, in very clear days it is also possible to glance Corse Island. From the village it is also possible to enjoy a walk along the olive cultivation and also to hike up to the Pizzo d’Evigno (990 mt). The cache is easy to reach and you can park easily. Please be careful to Muggles, local people is kinda mistrustful to strangers. Please place back the cache as you found it.
