Geocache Description:

1916 - 2016

The Easter Rising, was an armed insurrection in Ireland during Easter Week, 1916. The Rising was mounted by Irish republicans to end British rule in Ireland and establish an independent Irish Republic while the United Kingdom was heavily engaged in World War I. It was the most significant uprising in Ireland since the rebellion of 1798.

100 years have gone by, and this year will see many commemorative events happening around the country.

Near by, at the east of Donaghpatrick Cemetery, there is a republican plot. Every Easter Sunday commemorative events are held here and at Queally's Cross by republican organisations.

A quick little mutli cache. At the given coordinates, at the base of the pillar is a date (year), take this as "A". Final location: N53 28.(A-1274) W009 02.(A-1793) Easy!!
