El caché se encuentra en el punto final (o inicial, según se mire) del sistema de pasarelas de madera que conecta Virgen del Mar con Punta Candor, permitiendo un agradable paseo a través de los pinares que cubren buena parte del litoral roteño, con numerosos accesos a las diferentes playas.
Aquí encontrarás un estupendo mirador construido sobre un antiguo búnker de defensa marítima, desde el cual contemplar tanto los pinares como las playa de Punta Candor (a la izquierda) y Peginas-Aguadulce (a la derecha).
Casi llegando al mirador, la pasarela a la que puedes acceder desde el área de aparcamiento y otros puntos (cuenta con varios accesos desde la carretera) se topa con una zona donde las dunas la han invadido. Por seguridad ante la posible fragilidad de la estructura es necesario abandonarla durante un tramo, pero basta con seguir su itinerario caminando sobre la arena (del lado de la carretera) hasta llegar al búnker.
Durante todo el camino podrás disfrutar del hermoso paisaje de estos pinares, e incluso quizás tener la suerte de ver algún que otro camaleón, animal característico de la zona aunque muy difícil de descubrir. Si encuentras uno, por favor respeta su entorno y no lo molestes, limitándote a contemplarlo sin perturbarle.

The cache is located at the very end (or very beginning, depending on how you look at it) of the wooden boardwalk that connects the Virgen del Mar apartment complexes with Punta Candor Beach. The boardwalk gives us the opportunity to take a nice, relaxing stroll through the pine tree forest that covers a large part of Rota's coastal area, including several beach accessways to Rota's different beaches.
Here you will find a wonderful lookout point that was built on top of an old maritime defense bunker, and from where you'll be able to contemplate Rota's exquisite pine tree forest as well as the beaches of Punta Candor (to the left) and Peginas-Aguadulce (to the right).
Just before you arrive to the lookout point, the boardwalk (which can be accessed from the parking area as well as from many other access points along the road), runs into an area that has been taken over by the sand dunes. Just to be safe (the structure may have weakened under so much sand), you'll need to abandon the boardwalk for this last part of the journey. You can simply follow alongside the boardwalk by walking down on the grassy area (between the boardwalk and the road) until you arrive at the bunker.
On your way to the cache you'll be able to appreciate a beautiful landscape filled with pine trees, and you might even get lucky and see a chameleon or two! These little creatures are typical here, although they aren't easy to spot! If you do find one, please respect its environment and DO NOT bother it. Please, simply admire it from afar :)
