Geocache Description:

Historic Hamilton will be a series of caches that serve to bring cachers to historic places in and around the City of Hamilton. These caches can be placed by anyone, and are not limited to one CO. If you know of a historic place that you would like to bring people to, feel free to add it to the series!

Located in Hamilton Cemetery, you can find the remaining defensive earthen ramparts erected by British troops during the war of 1812. This site is part of the Burlington Heights post of the British Army. American Troops would have attacked during June 1813, but British Troops, under the direction of Lt. Colonel Harvey left from here and took the Americans by surprise in The Battle Of Stoney Creek.

At the posted coordinates, you will find a sign about the Ramparts. You will need information from this sign to help you located the final. The cache is located within the cemetery grounds, and can be found at:
N 43° 16.ABC W 079° 53.DEF

ABC= The number of British troops. Take 77 away from this answer.
DEF= The number of American troops. Take the last 3 digits and subtract 266.

Congratulations to Custodio's on the FTF!
