Several generations of scouts, explorers, civic and youth groups have enjoyed Camp Hope's rustic beautiful setting. Now it belongs to the Town of Canton and is open to the public during daylight hours. The public is invited to walk the short quarter mile loop around the camp and enjoy the trails and picnic tables close to the river too.
This area of Haywood County has been lacking in geocaches for way too long. Now that Camp Hope is open for public use, bring a picnic and enjoy the day in this beautiful setting. Daylight hours only. Please be aware that the pavilion may be rented for weddings, family reunions, etc. so please respect any groups that might be here. Caches I have placed should not interfere with such activities. There is a caretaker on site and a dog who will bark if you walk the loop, but he is behind a fence. Restrooms are closed in the winter months. Enjoy! ************FTF HONORS TO ROBINMOHAWK!!***************
