If you study the map hard well before heading out on your trek, you'll notice that a forest road will take you within 150 feet or so of this cache. That's not the way I hiked in to place this geocache. I walked the little creek up the draw until I came to the spot I intended to place this one. If you stay on the road, your hike will be longer, but less arduous. That is, until you get very close to GZ. If you walked the road, you'll have to carefully step down a steep slope to get to the location. It's nothing too daunting or dangersous, but do watch your footing.
The cache can be found just outside the entrance, under the overhang. Look under a rock, tucked down into a crevice against the rock wall. You are seeking a lock-n-lock container with a logbook and a pen. Please bring your own pen, just in case this one goes missing or won't write. Be careful, and have fun!
****Cache placed with permission and a permit from Mark Twain NF, Ava/Cassville/Willow Springs Ranger District. Much thanks to them for their geocaching friendly policies.***
