Northgate Reserve is nestled in between Nudgee Rd, Toombul Rd & Melton Rd. It has seen a few changes & improvements over the years especially after some major rain events & localised flooding in recent years.
The Rusty Tree is at the posted coordinates.
I am not sure if the rusty tree is this colour all year round or only when it sheds it's bark. I think it is quite remarkable & stands out from all the other trees in the area. I encourage you to come take a look at the pretty rusty coloured tree & find a cache at the same time.
On this multicache journey you will visit some of the recreational facilities available in the Northgate Reserve, make some observations about them & use the answers to find the coordinates of the cache.
A good place to park is marked below in the waypoint list - P0. The rest of the waypoints listed below can be visited in any order.
Visit the 4 facilities in the park & answer the following questions:
A = The number of "H" shaped jumps in the dog off-lease enclosure - WP 01
B = The number of vertical posts making up either side of the cricket practice net - WP 02
Y = The number of rings in the spider web at the playground - WP 03
Z = The number of slats of wood in the table top - WP 04
Take the coordinates of the Rusty Tree & add (A/100) + (B/1000) to the South coordinate & add (Y/100) + (Z/1000) to the East coordinate to find the cache's resting place.
Hope you enjoy discovering Northgate Reserve & the Rusty Tree.

The cache is large enough for a few swaps & has a pencil.
If anyone knows what type of tree this is I would be happy for you to share any information about it in your log. Thanks.
