Episode V: Return of the Jedi (reitz) ?
This 8 stage off-set multi-cache is the epic battle between
E=mc² led by jedireitz
and
randco's dark side.
jedireitz and E=mc² have previously attacked Lake Manatee State Park
to find all of the randco caches during the
LMSP Geo-Event weekend for the last 4 years.
This year the very extreme dark side of randco will emerge.
Along your journey be mindful of signs and kiosks.
You will need information from them to guide you to the final stage.
May the force NOT be with you…
If you are a Jedi Master you will know how to perform some simple math
and have the equipment necessary to calculate bearing and distance
to the final destination.
Remember, randco can be very deceiving,
especially the dark side
Save all of your notes and calculations, you will need all of them.
Stage 1 - At the posted coordinates you will find a sign.
S1Q1 = How many times is the letter “e” used?
S1Q2 = How many times is the letter “i” used?
S1A1 = S1Q1 * 27.5
S1A2 = (S1Q1 * 1,251.75) + 9
Navigate to Stage 2 - Bearing = S1A1, Distance = S1A2
Stage 2 - you will find a sign.
S2Q1 = How many numbers are on the sign?
S2Q2 = What is the number?
S2Q3 = How many letters does it take to spell the number?
S2A1 = (52.4 * S2Q2) + 1
S2A2 = (S1A1 * 64) - 18
Navigate to Stage 3 - Bearing = S2A1, Distance = S2A2
Stage 3 - You are looking for three signs on two posts, Bearing 255, Distance 75 feet.
S3Q1 = On the post with two signs, how many letters are on the lower sign?
S3Q2 = On the post with two signs, how many letters are on the upper sign?
S3Q3 = How many letters are on the largest of the three signs?
S3Q4 = On the post with two signs, what is the number on the lower sign?
S3A1 = (S1Q1 + S3Q2) * S3Q3
S3A2 = ((S1A1 / 11) * (S3Q4)) + 12
S3A3 = (S2Q2 * S3Q2) * S3Q1
S3A4 = S2A1 – 26

Park Information
The park is open from 8:00 a.m. until sundown 365 days per year.
The daily fee is $5.00 per vehicle (2 to 8 people per vehicle)
and $4.00 Single Occupant Vehicle.
Please park in designated parking areas only.
If you have questions about parking contact someone in the ranger station.
Please stay on the roads and trails to access the caches.
Please DON'T BUSHWHACK from cache to cache.
