Parking
If you are starting at the southern end of Pinetops, park at either Haywards Substation or at the 'Welcome to Upper Hutt' information area on SH2. If you choose to park on SH2, the track starts on the right hand side of the stream halfway between the information area and the fantail sculpture (each of these has an associated cache).
If you are starting at the northern end of Pinetops, park at the Silverstream entrance, immediately north of the Fergusson Drive lights on SH2.
The Cache
This 400ml camouflaged Systema clip-top contains a log and pencil, with room for small trackables and swag. Please make sure the cache is hidden as found before you leave, thanks.
