February 29: It's a Date - Meet & Greet (Taranaki) Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

Phronimos: Thanks everyone for attending. Manou seemed pleased with our turnout, and he provided great fare. I note there's moves afoot to set up a regular monthly 'meet & greet' on 'our' Facebook group Taranaki Geocachers https://www.facebook.com/groups/1720108451553612/. So keep an eye out for the next one.
I note there's a TB supposedly attached to this event. If you have it please grab it and move along.
See you all again soon, Phronimos

Geocache Description:

It only happens every four years. It gives us 366 calendar days which means we all have one extra day to go geocaching. So of course, we’re celebrating with a souvenir — actually, make that two!

Event Place & Time

Manou's Waterfront Cafe & Restaurant

next to Chaddy's Charters, 5 Ocean View Parade,
Port Taranaki, New Plymouth

5:30 pm Monday 29 February 2016

This is a chance to meet other geocachers, such as new folks, like dragon gem (from Gisborne) and others who've just started geocaching locally.

The first souvenir can only be earned on Leap Day itself, February 29, by attending a geocaching event like this one. The other souvenir can be earned all weekend long (February 27-29) by getting outside and finding a geocache.
