Trivial Pursuit - Richmond-Upon-Thames Edition
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This is the first of a series of caches based on Trivial Pursuit.
There are 6 virtual caches corresponding to each of the 6 categories of the game and the answers to these clues will lead you to the final real cache, the usual white lidded tupperware box.
The final resting place of the cache is :
N 51 : AB . CDE
W 000 : VW . XYZ
Fill in the letters as you solve the clues.
The categories are listed in the same order as in the original game but you can complete each of the individual caches in whichever order you fancy, loss of shoe leather, time and energy are the only downsides of not working out which is the easiest order. I have rated the cache as 2 for terrain only because you are in for about a 3 mile round walk, (car door to car door), including what is a hill for Southerners and a slight incline for Northerners. Using the on-site rating system it would have been 2/3
The above co-ordinates place you at one of the car parks on the edge of Richmond town centre. There are plenty more dotted around all over the place but none are free and they all charge on Sundays as well. Allow two hours if you are paying for parking and you should be safe. There is also good public transport by both British Rail and London Underground.
Richmond is a busy town and I have tried to keep you out of the congested areas as much as possible but if you are in need of any retail therapy you are never much more than 5 minutes away from the shops.
If it’s a nice day there are plenty of other things to do in the area including river cruises, Richmond Park and a heck of a lot of pubs!
To start off, the cache contains;
Relevant Postcards for Richmond-Upon-Thames.
A keyring that doubles as a photo album
Eeyores Little Book of Gloom.
A talking book/double cassette of P. J. O’Rourkes All the Troubles in The World
A dozen polished stones
A set of marbles
Now, on with the game.
