Lego Architecture Properties

I just love 'adult' Lego as this series is so called. In total there are 53 buildings so far, all of them famous. Alas no GPO as I would dearly love to see our iconic building included, especially this year. I think that the new History museum in the GPO would easily sell one set per day in the newly open GPO heritage tour shop. Our GPO is the only one in the world that is still operating on its original site. Quite an impressive building, so much so that I have just decided to do another cache in this series. Of the buildings around the world only 20 sets are commercially available in regular Lego shops. The reason is that 9 'special' buildings were commissioned for 'staff only' and these are quite rare to obtain now.

At least a further 6 have been withdrawn and/or improved and the remainder are either obsolete or out of stock. The idea for them was mooted in 2006 but was some years later before the initial one appeared for sale. I have 15 of them in my collection now, the biggest of which has 626 bricks. The largest one created so far (not by me as it is too expensive) is the Taj Mahal....but I still hanker for the GPO
