Geocache Description:

MGH is nothing more than a memory. Doors opened in 1940 and provided 32 beds. During the time after it opened, there were many changes. Five years later the first addition was made and then again in 1960 when the hospital expanded. The final addition was the emergency and radiology departments. As patient needs changed and the hospital was not able to keep up. The decision was made to close the  doors and build a new modern facilty. The doors were closed in Aug.2009.

There are four large trees that hold a special meaning for me. There were bences here in a garden setting that visitors and staff could use to come out in the sunshine and enjoy a peaceful day, We sat out here as my neice was being born and her mother would let us see her through the windows. I love the trees and the memories. I left a cache in one of the trees. Please bring a pen and replace the cache and bark as you found it,
