Here Puddle Alley intersects Dukes Road North and continues in a southerly direction to intersect with Factory Road and to terminate at the junction with Gladstone Road North.
Here, near the cache site, we have agricultural endeavors side by side with industrial and research ones. We have, close by, an Equestian Centre, and the Invermay Agricultural Research facility further along Puddle Alley. To the west, along Dukes Road North, a Fontana factory and further west, along the same road a number of industrial enterprises. Nearby, also, is the Taieri aerodrome, once used by the NZRAF as a training facility for pilots, navigators and radio operators. Yours truly spent some months there in 1953 training as a navigator.
