Each one of the caches in this series of Lightman League caches has a star symbol on it. The top half of the star looks like an "L". When the bottom half of the star is rotated 180° it too is the letter "L". These are the initials for the Lightman League. The star represents the star of Bethlehem that the wise men followed in Matthew 2:1-2.
This specific cache gets the first part of its name from its location in the swampy low-lands next to the Six-Mile Creek greenway in Marvin. Several of our fellow Waxhaw Lightman Leaguers live near this area.
The second part of the name comes from the previously mentioned explanation of the star symbol. But it also is a hint for where to direct your eyes when looking for the cache once you have reached the coordinates.
Once you have spotted the cache, carefully retrieve it without destroying anything. Nothing needs to be cut or untied.
Please replace the cache just as you found it. It is not recommended to go for the cache immediately after heavy rains.
