Well, Old Cap'n Logan had roamed the seas for many a year,
He had made quite a name fr 'imself... but that be many ar year parst.
Well I bet me good leg ye ain't heard of 'im...? Be I wrong... Din't tink so.
He could have matched Blackbeard for the terror he created,
and for that of ol Black Bart... Well Ol' Cap'n Logan plundered twice as many ships.
The years had passed and this Cap'n twas growin old.. and the Sea Dogs be barking at his heels.
Twas a bad day in January when poor ol Cap'n Logan found himself adrift,
Clutching to his last Treasure chest, barely keeping afloat.
Now we know that gold be heavy and those wooden chests can only hold so much weight.
The Cap'n reluctantly had to throw some over board.
While doing so, came cross a Foul Creature... The likes of a Iron Chicken!
"Who be the poxed wretch who'd stash a rusted junglefoul in me chest... (Throws over his back)
Arrrr, It'd be that Smugglin' Clive Dawkins! He be takn a Long Walk off a short plank if I be Spying him gain."
When the Cap'n managed to make land. He found he be on a cursed isle!
The land he came awash be a mangrove stronghold. Surrounded by sea, trees, Floatsam and Jetsam.
As he arrived, he noticed that there be traps set to catch those flea bitten rats that try to attack the natives.
Ol Cap'n Logan knew how to avoid these traps and left them in hopes that any other Sea Dogs would come across them and meet thar demise.
He travelled to a spot he thought would be suitable to hide what he had left of his dwindling wealth,
Cap'n hoping that should he be captured, he could use it as leverage. (As William Kidd had tried)
Covering up the chest as best he could, he left to face his fate with the Kraken.
He found a plank of wood and made a raft and noting where he stashed the chest. He headed to the beach.
When got to the shore... the cursed Iron Foul was lying in the swash of the waves.
The Cap'n took this as a sign and he took the Iron Junglefoul with its curse and promise to Dawkins!
Wading to the sea, he set his raft afloat, Jumping aboard and setting adrift...
He noticed he was going the wrong way!
The seas had played a cruel trick on him and the waves be going one way but the current be going the other.
He awashed up only a few Fathoms from the Evil Isle!
"Arr I shall never have lifted this cursed Iron from the rocks.
'Ere on this beach we be leaving the cursed Iron Junglefoul on a bumpkin.
Just to be sure, we be leaving me hint to the treasure within the Innards.
We just knowing we'll find it again wit Nary a doubt."
Back to the sea with the Raft plank that had slowly started to come apart.
This time he was swiftly taken in the opposite direction!
The tide had turned and was flowing full force toward a vast emptiness and the Golden Bay...
Ol' Cap'n had to think quickly as the current was taking 'im t'ward the Golden Bay.
If you haven't heard 'bout the Golden Bay... Tis a huge Treasure trove! Yar Thar be a plunder of gold.
Tis gold is inaccessible, it be swallowed by the bay, ships head in only to be binded to the quicksand created by the protuberance.
Thar also be huge Sea Monsters that feed from the Nectar of the earth so... a fool's errand to be chasing it.
The Ol' Cap'n managed to grab ahold of a Grove of Man and haul himself up into this ancient being.
He decided to bide his time 'til the tides became still...
He fixed his raft and removed some of the damaged plank and rope.
While he waited for the tides to change, he took his cutlass and carved a map into the plank.
Showing where to find the Ironfoul and an X to the land where his wealth is hid.
To ensure he not lose the map he tied it to the tree, hoping it wouldn't be found by some other Sea Dog to find his stash.
Cap'n had only just finished the map when he noticed the tides had changed once again.
His makeshift raft slowly coming to bits, he hopped back on and took off in the direction the water took him.
A whirlpool in the sea threw Ol' Cap'n Logan off course and he wound back up having coming to another land...
A land of which he had seen before, but couldn't place his finger on it...
Would help if his finger was still there... but that is another tale..
When he arrived, he spotted the Ruins of an ancient civilisation, well advanced in the technology he had seen before but the land was overrun by Ovis aries... A creature known for flocking with a magic called Sta-Tic-Cli-Ng.
Avoiding the creatures was not necessary; as all they do is watch you, yet if you approached...
They would fly away.
The droppings on the other hand would need to be cautioned of as they is high in nitrogen and potash.
Nearby the Ruins Ol' Cap'n Logan found himself a shelter.
As he had been awash in the swash for so long, he set himself up a place to rest and recover until the morn.
When he awoke, he looked around to find pictures painted on the walls of the lean to he had found.
They told the story of the Isle and the magic the was within the mountain.
Here he read the stories and memorised them.
Once again ensuring that his treasure would not be easily found, he made some clues from the information he acquired.
He Walked around the Island until he got within sight of the mainland.
Ol' Cap'n Logan was almost back to the Pirate port and the "OYC"... "Off Yer Copper" Galley.
A few more logs from the Isle and his raft was ready to go.
For 'is final stretch, he brought with 'im a paddle to be sure he would make it to the shore.
This time he had the material to be able to do so. Aboard the raft and pushed off...
Arriving on the mainland he collapsed and pulled himself up and under a nearby tree.
To be sure he wouldn't forget his adventure, or the curse of the IronFoul.
While resting on the shore and pleased to have come upon a Hermit with some food,
Gorging himself of the food, and making acquaintances with the the Hermit...
he found himself a Scroll of paper to scribe down his clues to find his map from the paintings on the Ruined Isle.
Hiding the clues in a nearby hollow of the Hermits home.
Ol' Cap'n Logan slunk away to find some of his fellow pirates and to seek revenge on the Lily livered Clive Dawkins!
It just so happened that the Hermit came across this hidden information and decided it would be to his advantage to acquire the scroll and hide it in a far safer place... or so he thought.
We have transcribed the scroll for you to see, Can ye work out the clues?
