Geocache Description:

Cache is not hidden at coordinates given. Clues will need to be solved to provide the whereabouts of the cache location.

A Type 23 pill box survives at Hill Farm, Brading. Set before you is a type 23 world war 2, which has been restored by Bembridge heritage Society. This rectangular pillbox would have had a spigot mortar mounting with direct fire lines across the marshes to the sea, and is located on what was originally the main road to Brading where there was a roadblock manned by the homeguard.

To get the coordinates you will need to solve the following clues -

How many bolts holding the iron grate onto the roof of the pillbox = A

How many holes in the side of the pillbox for firing out of = B

What time does the Heritage Centre open on Wednesdays (first digit only) = C

Coordinates

N 50 (B+C)0.2AA

W 001 A.0(B-C)(A-B)

Please be careful with children along busy road
