Mn-treker: Sorry to say sherburne county just got back to me. From the beacon property map system I see that the last recorded transaction was 2015. It is currently listed as not belonging to the state of Minnesota. So the no trespassing signs are legitimate. I'm now forced to archive this. Bummer.

The access gate to the campground is closed during winter. So I have given this a higher terrain rating. You might walk across the lake but driving may be risky, so please don't. Snowmobile is ok or ATV on the lake in winter. I am not giving parking cords, that is up to you. 3/4 mile hike from the gate, .4 mile from the boat launch. Have fun.
