Geocache Description:

This cache is now the oldest active geocache in Onondaga County! It's in an Onondaga County park with a high falls. You'll need to scramble a little off a well-maintained trail - it won't be difficult.

This cache is the first in a series of four caches that take you to Central New York waterfalls. It was the first cache of the original owners, and should be fairly easy to find. Kai Team adopted the series from “Bob Shear, Laura and Sarah G” on 9 November 2004. We've since restocked a new container for the cache.

Park near the playground and take the trail whose color might mean it's sad. It’s about a quarter mile hike on a well-marked trail through the woods. Reception in the area is variable, so we've provided coordinates based on the average of multiple readings over a period of years. Click here for the park's web page and to download a trail map.

PLEASE REHIDE THE CACHE AS FOUND so it is not obvious to muggles.

After you find the cache, head southwest on the same level for a nice view of the falls.
